Here is Mia, a coworker and good friend, receiving her wedding quilt per request of purple and rust. I had better pictures. I have lost my memory card. Well, I know where I left it and it is not there. Some lovely person in this house hold either brushed it off the table or picked it up with stuff... who knows.
I found this picture on my phone. Sorry it is lousy. I do hope to find the card.
The quilt is fmq in hearts!

Cobble Court Quilt Retreat 3
All I have to say is that I have never ever laughed so much in my life as I did this weekend. It is all Judy's fault too.
We sewed... a lot. We ate.... a lot. We went to two quilt shops; very nice. And when we played the fat quarter game....let's just say, some do not play very nice....ummmm Judy!!! (yeah she is a character)

We had a great time. I do not see these ladies enough. I still vote for more.
Table Runner Swap
Cobble Court Quilt Circle is doing a table runner swap. Honestly, it is still going on. The due date hasn't arrived yet. My partner is a go-getter. She is finished and I have my table runner on my dining room table. I love it!! Gingerbread Men!!! Favorite!!!
This is from Bonnie. She is new to the forum and I sure hope she hangs around for a long time. She is fabulous!!
Thank you!

Arizona - Im in love!!!
Eric and I returned from Arizona at the end of September. (Yes, Im still a little behind)
I had a fabulous time. I have a tan now.... yay, I do not feel I missed summer any longer. We stayed at the Camel Back Inn. It is a Marriot Hotel. I do enjoy being pampered; drinks by the pool at 11 o'clock, sitting and swimming then dinner and drinks.
On Saturday we ventured to Sedona. I so much enjoyed the rock formations and mostly photographing them. The gardens here are where I captured the pictures of the humming bird.

The Bun Patch
The Bun Patch is the name given to Adele's quilt. I love this pattern which is titled Patchwork Fields. I loved it, she loved it in the magazine and so I offered to make it for her if I could use what I had in the stash. I brought a bag to work with all the fabrics required for the pattern. Adele looked them over and said absolutely.
See the bunny in the right corner? This is Bun, Adele's bunny which is black and gray with white black tail and a pink nose (or she wanted a pink nose).
This is one of my favorite quilts. It turned out to be 81" x 81". Very scrappy and all of her favorite fabrics. There is even a purple 30's fabric with bunnies.

Summertime
Reenie Beanie gave me a jelly roll for Christmas.
Regina wanted to do the Jelly roll race.
Here is mine completed.
I bought the border fabric and the binding (yellow) at Mt Pleasant when I went shopping with Regina and Jill. The backing is from Ben Franklin in Hilton before it closed. It has little pink berries in the leaves.
And I finished a pillow for my room.
Mia is on my pillow. Her favorite spot.
I have been working on tons. It is hard to find time to post though. I have to cart my carcass up here to the den and oh, remember the memory card.... big ordeal.
I have been on a few trips this year; Lake Placid, Boston, and Niagara Falls.
Here are a few snapshots.
Boston: Lady watching people walk by in North End. We were trying to seek out the best restaurant for the next nights meal.
Lake Placid: White face Mountain at the White Face Resort.
Niagara Falls: Our helicopter ride over the falls.

Olen's quilt
Here is the quilt I made from the fabric's Heather and I picked out at JoAnn's. It is for her son Olen.
I am sandwiching a jelly roll race quilt now that Regina and I played with awhile ago. I really love the way it turned out. I will add a photo here shortly. I found the borders to it when I went on the quilt store run two weeks ago with Regina and Jill. I chose a pink and green plaid that I found at Mt Pleasant.
I am also finishing up the borders of the Scattered stars quilt from a Relay for Life Mystery. I chose a golden yellow for the small border and blue swirls fabric for the larger. I found those at Mt Pleasant and Quilter's Daughter out in Perry.
Then this past weekend I visited with Reenie and we went to Quilt Sewciety and I bought a green yellow rust batik for Marie Bostwick's pattern Cobble Court in the magazine Quilt Maker.
So really Im busy but just at a slower pace I guess. There are tons I want to do.... the list keeps growing.

I haven't been on my blog in so long that the format has changed on me. Wow. This is bad.
So sorry.
I have not been up to much. I am finishing a quilt for a friend's little boy. She wanted a twin, 10" block flannel, cordory, and solid quilt. We ventured in JoAnn's and found everything she wanted. It is an assortment of rust, navy, light blue and brown. I am quilting it now and have found sewing a straight line is so much harder than fmq. So I have a few rows to rip out.
I also have been working on the mystery from Mysteries for Relay and have a ways to go on it.
I finished my bow tie swap with the gals at Cobbled Court Quilting Circle and need to figure out what to do with those. Probably a table topper or runner.
And I went to a Book Signing with Marie Bostwick on Thursday through Cafe Sewciety and had the best time ever with Judy, the owner, Reenie, and Marie. She was fabulous. She spoke of her background, her quilts, her past books, future books, and the new book "Ties that Bind".
It was a great turnout with over 60 people.
I also came across a wonderful concept. Out Number Hunger. I was making blueberry muffins for Eric, he is home for the weekend, and on the back of the box is Out number Hunger.
You go to the website www.outnumberhunger.com and enter the code from the box and you will give 5 meals to your local food bank. Awesome!! On the site will also give you other items to look for in the stores that will offer the code and there are many. Im so excited about this.
I will add photos later.

Every day is a gift
This wall hanging is what I made for a dear friend that I met in Lake Placid. She is a real jem.
This saying "every day is a gift" is what she says every day, time, card etc she says to you.
What a positive outlook on life. I try to incorporate it all the time....
This is Mia looking out in the snow. Our bushes look like popcorn balls! How magical.
Love ya.
Next you will see a baby quilt Im making for a young man in the process now, 30th of Jan, to be delivered, but hoping for a 31st date for it is my birthday to be delivered.... ya just 2 1/2 more hours to go.
